FMI 289 CAT Fault Code

Cause :

When the ignition switch is turned to ON, voltage from the ECM's MREL terminal is applied to the EFI MAIN relay. This causes the contacts of the EFI MAIN relay to close, which supplies power to terminal +B of the TCM.Malfunction of the variable valve lift system. The control unit notes that the position of the natural opening of the throttle is not reached. The problem often comes out after cleaning the latter. The engine stalls immediately at the factory or at idle.
